Systems Architecture

Translate requirements, interfaces and technical risks into a workable system architecture. Evaluate alternatives against maintainability, lifecycle, performance per watt and operational effort; document decisions and their consequences.

Private Cloud & Infrastructure Security

Design and incrementally implement decentralized, heterogeneous infrastructure with its own virtualization, networking, storage architecture and service platform.

Design, integrate and operate Linux platforms: KVM/libvirt/QEMU, networking and storage, DNS, mail, reverse proxies, TLS and VPN. Address backup/recovery, redundancy and failover as part of the architecture.

Keycloak and SSO/OIDC, least privilege, segmentation and security zones for internal and deliberately exposed services. Match controls to protection requirements and operational reality.

DevOps & Automation

Build reproducible pipelines, CI/CD and controlled releases. Connect GitLab, development environments and version-controlled documentation into an engineering platform. Automate recurring operational and verification tasks; keep changes and recovery traceable.

AI & Compute

Integrate local or on-premises AI with GPU infrastructure and existing services. Connect models, agents and MCP tools with scoped permissions and approvals. Include remote visualization and low-latency streaming for GPU workloads.

Agent workflows are a development and evaluation area; production suitability is assessed against concrete tasks and verifiable results.

Test & Verification

Develop industrial test systems spanning mechanics, electrical engineering and test software. Connect HIL/SIL, PLC/Modbus integration, test automation, log analysis and CI/CD. Design test management and runner orchestration around requirements and acceptance criteria.

Embedded & Low-Level Engineering

Embedded Linux, root filesystems, real-time kernels, device drivers and hardware integration. Integrate ARM/FPGA platforms, CAN and low-level interfaces; migrate existing systems and make them maintainable over the long term.

Technical Leadership & Team Coordination

Technical coordination within teams, onboarding colleagues and supporting engineering decisions. Represent shared technical concerns and align with the people involved. Document objectives, acceptance criteria and handovers.

Working together

RoebTec Solutions is an owner-operated engineering practice established in 2025, specialising in software, embedded systems, systems architecture and infrastructure.

I support companies from requirements analysis and comprehensive planning through development, integration, testing and documented handover. Depending on requirements, I take on complete projects, defined work packages or contribute to existing teams. Scope and schedules are aligned with the agreed capacity.

Prototyping

The scope includes software prototypes, electronic assemblies, PCB design, mechanical design and integration into demonstrators. Series production and in-house 3D printing are not currently offered.

Availability and location

Approximately 20 hours per week are currently available by agreement. Meetings can be arranged flexibly. Work can be carried out remotely, on site and with project-related travel.

Handover and ongoing support

Projects conclude with a documented handover. Maintenance and further development can be agreed for defined periods. Scope, schedules and responsibilities are agreed in advance. On-call services are not offered.

Responsible project selection

I do not undertake development assignments for systems or functions whose purpose is to kill people. For potential military applications, the specific intended use is decisive.
