Embedded Linux migration · professional
Challenge: Migrate an existing Windows Embedded Compact 2013 platform to Linux.
Contribution: Built a Debian root filesystem, integrated a real-time kernel, ported drivers and connected automated tests.
Architectural contribution: Shape and implement the transition to embedded Debian, considering existing hardware, drivers and product maintenance together.
HIL test systems & engineering tools · professional
Challenge: Develop production test systems and quality-assurance capabilities.
Contribution: Brought mechanics, electrical engineering and software together in the test-system concept; co-developed C#/.NET test software with MySQL integration. Developed a WPF log analyser, PowerShell maintenance tools and Python/Modbus tests.
Result: Delivered test, analysis and maintenance tools for production and validation.
Federated HIL architecture
Architecture of a distributed test system using runners and PLC integration. Test management, execution and equipment integration have separate responsibilities. Internal implementation details remain undisclosed.
ARM/FPGA integration · research
Challenge: Integrate an embedded platform for “Smart Energy Grid Ruhr”.
Contribution and result: Adapted Debian Linux for Cyclone V, developed C/C++ drivers and integrated ARM/FPGA components into the system.

Own decentralized, heterogeneous data centre under construction. Design and incremental implementation of virtualization, networking, storage architecture and a service platform.
Infrastructure & engineering platform · independent projects
Responsibility: Architecture, implementation and operation of Linux services covering DNS, mail,
IAM, business applications and GitLab/MkDocs. Operated own hosting and service infrastructure for over five years.
Scope: Local AI/agent workflows are under evaluation; the six-node Ceph architecture is planned, not a production cluster.
